Year 6 Scots Pine Residential 2024 - Day 2

Day Two! We woke up to a delicious breakfast of porridge followed by hash browns, beans and mushrooms. We then had some free time to play followed by some structured activities. We learnt how to use a flint to light a fire, used a local bill hook to cut firewood and make drum sticks and then dug up some local clay to create mini sculptures. This afternoon we went to the woodland area near our campsite. We played in the bog, climbed giant beech trees, whittled our drum sticks, dug for mini beasts and enjoyed a chilled out hammock area. So much fun to be had! And beautiful weather too. Can’t wait for our sausage and mash tonight…

Tonight we had our dinner then got ready for a dusk nature walk. We explored around the surrounding fields and woodland to listen and look for evening birds. What a beautiful sunset!
