If your child is unwell, please notify the school before 8.55am either by leaving a message on the answer phone (option 1) or through Absences on ParentMail. If we do not receive an explanation, or if the explanation is unsatisfactory, we will not authorise the absence, and this will be shown on your child’s end of year report.
Please leave the following information in your message:
- Your child’s name
- His/her class
- Reason for absence
- Your relationship to the child
The school operates a first day response to absences: we will phone you if we have not heard from you. We believe it is our responsibility to ensure your child’s safety as well as their regular school attendance.
When your child has had a stomach upset or sickness, it is important that you allow a period of at least 48 hours after the sickness has finished, before sending them back to school. Such action will help to prevent the infection spreading unnecessarily to others in the school.
Administering Medicine
If your child requires medicine during school hours, you will need to fill out a form giving permission.
