Home learning with padlet
We are excited to introduce Padlet as our new platform for home learning communication at Lauriston! Each year group now has a dedicated Padlet page with two main features:
- Suggested Links for Extra Practice: We share useful website links that support core skills in maths and literacy. These resources are optional and designed for parents and pupils who want to build on what they are learning in school.
- Learning Summaries: Every two weeks, we post a brief summary of the topics pupils are covering in class. This provides a window into the current learning focus and helps families stay connected with what’s happening in the classroom.
At Lauriston, we believe that children benefit from time to rest and pursue their interests outside of school. While we are a no-homework school, we do send home reading books to be read regularly, as well as a weekly spelling list. Padlet is simply a resource to support learning, offering optional activities for those who would like to practice more at home.
