Our athletics team went to Copper Box to represent Hackney at the London Youth Games Regionals where we competed against 8 other boroughs.
It was a fantastic day and the children had so much fun. We are very proud of the team for reaching this stage of the competition and they had lots of fun and enjoyed themselves greatly.
After 24 events I am very proud to say that we came very close of winning the LYG Regionals.
We accumulated a total of 340 points and came 2nd in the competition. We have qualified for the London Youth Games Finals at Crystal Palace on 22 March. This amazing achievement could not have been gained without the support of everyone involved.
