We also had lots of enrichment activities going on during Black History Month. Every class took part in either a workshop in school or a trip. We had the brilliant Donna Powell aka Bad Laydee in to work with our Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils in a workshop focused on celebrating identity and themed around Black History Month. Our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 pupils all had storytelling workshops delivered by Jacki Livingstone. And our Year 2, 3 and 4 pupils have trips to the Hackney Museum themed for Black History Month. Mr Harris launched Black History Month in our first Whole School Assembly of October. Assemblies across October celebrated Black History Month - we even were lucky enough to have Leyton Orient Football club visit!
