Year 6 Scots Pine Residential 2021 - Day 3
Evening We had a marvellous afternoon and evening after our relaxed start to the day! We gathered together for some group songs and games under the canopy and were surprised by a special visitor: Mr Harris! He was so impressed with how brilliantly Year 6 have been getting on at camp. Once we’d shown him around the camp it was time to set off to a new area of woodland for the afternoon! We had a wonderful afternoon in the woods choosing different activities to take part in. Some of us went birdwatching, some chose leaf wapping, others to relax in the beautiful bluebell woods and play games. Some of us took part in whittling too! Evening came and it was time for our final campfire of our stay. We sang campfire songs and made toasted marshmallows over the fire - yum! Then, it was time to settle in to our final night in our tents.
10:57 Day 3 is well underway and we’ve had a gentle morning so far getting ready for our day in a different area of woodland. We have all had the chance to make our own sandwiches for our lunches later, and we’ve also sorted out our tents and our wet and dry clothes - very important on camp! We’ve also taken the chance to have some quiet time in camp: some of us choosing to read; to drum; to sit down in the grass and chat. Stay tuned for our updates from the woods!
08:20 Day 3 has dawned at our camp and despite the cloudy skies there are lots of happy faces this morning as we tuck into our porridge! Year 6 slept very well last night and are ready and raring for more fun in the outdoors. We’re enjoying a breakfast of porridge followed by a second breakfast of sweetcorn fritters - yum!
