Year 6 - Residential to Youlbury Scouts Adventure Group - Day 3
Update 1: Good morning from Youlbury! Children have been keeping their rooms in tip top condition in order to be ready for their daily room inspections! This morning we've had another filling breakfast to get us set up for the day's excitement. Today Year 6 are particularly excited to take on the zip wire and the aerial trek, among plenty of other activities.
Update 2: It’s been a bright clear Wednesday morning and the children are getting stuck in to the day’s offerings! There has been great fun had on the zip wire, outdoors learning with backwoods cooking, new experiences on the sensory trail, and bravery shown on the aerial trek! Even the teachers have needed a bit of bravery to get involved with our activities. We’ve even had a special visit from Mr Harris, and the children were thrilled to update him on what they have been doing! Now time for a lovely lunch before yet more fun.
Update 3: The clear, crisp weather held for the afternoon as we took on more challenges. The 3G swing was highly enjoyed by the children, crate stacking challenged us to work as a team, and some of us took on the leap of faith! Dinner was a tasty pasta bake followed by smooth chocolate mousse. Some of us cosied up in pyjamas in the hall for a film, while others joined in wide games around the campsite, equipped with wellies and torches! We should all sleep well after the day's exertions...
